Welcome
 
Welcome to the Crawley & District Group website. Find out more about us, where we meet and what we do. We are a friendly Group centred on Crawley but cover the Redhill, Haywards Heath, Horsham, Horley and East Grinstead Area with about 450 members. Monthly meetings are lively combining local and national activities, with entertaining speakers who send you home smiling. We try to hold your 7 local MP's to account on policies. So why not come along and meet new friends and enjoy yourself.

Where do we meet?
We meet at the Orchard, Gleneagles Court, Brighton Road, Crawley, about 200 yards south of the 1st level crossing The venue is wheelchair and disabled friendly. (Click for a map).
 
When do we meet?
Our meeting are held on the 2nd Wednesday of each month (with exception of August, when we have a Social Lunch at a venue to be decided, contact the secretary for details.)
 
All our meetings start at 10.30am with refreshments and socialising. The business part of the meeting commences at 10.45am and finishes at 12.25pm. Speakers usually have the last hour including a short question and answer session finishing at 12.25pm
 
We finish with a raffle and the meeting closes at 12.30pm.

What does it cost?
Administrative cost include: - postage, photocopying, rent of the room at The Orchard and refreshments. To cover this we charge an Annual Fee of £7 for all members, (for more info on how to subscribe please see below). There is also a charge of £3 per member per meeting, which includes the cost of a raffle ticket. Do please try to come to some if not all of our meetings. You will be sure of a very warm welcome.

How to get to meetings.
By Train: Crawley is on the main line between London (Victoria and London Bridge) & Horsham/Portsmouth. The station is near the Mall Shopping Centre.
 
By Bus: Metro (Tele: 01293 449191) runs most of the buses in and around Crawley, they also serve nearby towns, such as East Grinstead, Haywards Heath, Horley, Horsham, Redhill & Reigate. Time tables may be obtained from the Metro Bus Travel Shop at the Mall Bus Station. Full details, including Timetables are displayed at www.metrobus.co.uk.
 
By Car: Please click to see map(Click here)There is only limited disabled parking at Gleneagles Court but some on street parking on the Brighton Road outside and in Perryfield Road nearby both with a 2 hour time limit but free parking in a car park just past the 2nd level crossing in Horsham Road, about 10 minutes walk away.

Car sharing: It may be possible to arrange a lift with another member. If you are interested in this please contact the Group Membership Secretary (details on our Committee page).
